Put on your lederhosen, because this whole week is the GermanFest in St. Paul! Experience German heritage and culture! Create and see German art, sample some bratwurst, and polka your heart out. Starting with Deutsche Tage (German Days) this weekend, events continue throughout the week and culminate with GermanFest MN next weekend. You’re in for an amazing time! Germanic Institute and the Historic Schmidt Brewery, June 11-18.

This weekend is a perfect time to take a day trip to Albertville for Albertville Friendly City Days! If you need to take a break from the festivities, you can always take advantage of the Albertville Premium Outlets!

The Heights Theater in Columbia Heights is celebrating their 90th Anniversary this year! To celebrate they are screening extra special showings throughout the year. Sunday, check out Lawrence of Arabia on 70mm film. (Read: it’s a big deal, and worth watching on the big screen!) Sunday at 1:30pm and 7pm, $10

This weekend is the Minnesota Pet Expo! Learn about pet care, get free nail trims, see demonstrations from hundreds of exhibitors, and more. Posters and Pints combines beer, art and fundraising to benefit Art Buddies! This Saturday, sample beers from 16 local breweries while you peruse (and purchase!) art from over 32 local artists. Uppercut Boxing Gym, June 11th, 6-10pm. $30 tickets for entry and samples, prints on sale for $30 each.
