For dinner and dancing, check out the NYE Minneapolis 2016 at Tinto Cantina! Should be a chill time! Dinners at 6pm and 8pm, Party from 9pm-2am. $90 for everything, or $30 for the party only
If you are looking to get gussied up for an over-the-top night of dancing, check out Studio 54’s NYE Party at the Hyatt. 9pm-2am, VIP 8pm doors. Tickets $50-90. 21+
Or the Crystal Ball at International Market Square, featuring Doomtree! 8pm-2am. Tickets $70-200, plus $30 shuttle service available. 21+
Countdown Minneapolis is at it again at Cowles Center! 3 rooms of dancing and drink specials. 9pm-2am. Tickets $35-80, and they do sell out, try calling 612-874-8892 for info

Happy Crazy New Year V is a show by Dangerous Productions, plus it’s a fundraiser for HAPPY FROGTOWN to support the Knight’s Arts Challenge Grant. After the show, stay for a Masquerade party! 8pm. $20 at the door, $15 if you donate a blanket. Masquarade tickets $5, available after the show
Celebrate at the Afton Alps New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! Come for the skiing, stay for the party and fireworks show! 9am-Midnight, NYE events starting at 8:30pm. NYE additional activities are free; regular charges for lift tickets, rentals, food and beverages.
Or celebrate at Buck Hill! Evening skiing and snowboard tickets go on sale at 4pm, followed by a variety of activities, ending with fireworks at midnight! 4pm-1am, NYE additional activities are no extra charge; regular charges for lift tickets, rentals, food, beverages, and the Big Air Jump
Care for a low-key New Year’s Eve? Walk along hundreds of candle luminaries at Wood Lake Nature Center’s Candlelight and Ice in Richfield. Plus, kick back with a game, craft, roast marshmallows and have a cup of cocoa. 6-9pm, $4, all ages
An early bird New Year?! Heck yes! Check out the Comedy Suitcase’s Rockin’ New Year’s Afternoon at Bryant Lake Bowl. 5pm and 7pm. $14/$8 for kids, tickets available at the door starting at 4pm
If the kids are antsy to get out of the house tomorrow, take them to the Como Zoo ‘Noon’ Year’s Party! 10am-1pm with a beach ball drop at 11:59. Free!

- Metro Transit is offering FREE RIDES for everyone on all busses and light rails from 6pm to 3am!
- Taxis are a classic choice

- Lyft is similar to UBER. Again, check for surge pricing
- Drink and Drive Intelligently and Dry Drivers are designated driver services where, for a fee, two people will escort you and bring you and your car home
