Leave your car at home on Sunday and head to Lyndale Avenue for Open Streets Lyndale! This free event is aimed at healthy living, local businesses, and city pride. Can’t make it this time? Don’t worry, there will be 7 more Open Streets MPLS events happening throughout the summer around town. June 7th, 11am-5pm between 22nd and 42nd streets.
Or visit Grand Old Day on Sunday in St. Paul! This free festival has something for everyone: stages filled with live bands, a family fun district, sports, and a big parade to start the day! June 7th, 8am-6pm, along Grand Avenue from Wheeler to Dale Street. (The event is free; wristbands to the 21+ Festival Beer Gardens are $8/6 in advance)
Edina’s Annual Art Fair is this weekend! It’s the second largest art fair in Minnesota–what a great way to peruse and maybe purchase some great pieces! June 5th-7th, at 50th and France.
Looking for ideas for your home, or just want to be inspired? Check out the 15th Annual Midwest Home Luxury Home Tour! Featuring 13 homes across the metro, this tour is self-guided and a great way to see new features and trends. Three weekends in June, starting June 5th-7th. Passports on sale for $20 at Caribou ($25 at the homes); single home tours are $5. Homes open noon-6pm.
Have you been to an concert at the Minnesota Zoo? Highly recommend! Music in the Zoo brings amazing international and local artists to the beautiful outdoor amphitheater. This year’s series starts Saturday with Marc Cohn and Shawn Colvin, and continues through September 3rd.
St. Paul has their huge annual St. Paul Summer Beer Fest on Saturday. Over 100 craft breweries, live music, seminars and food? Sounds tasty! MN State Fairgrounds, June 6th, 2-6pm. $45
