It’s officially Spring today! We are looking forward to patio season, farmer’s markets, gardening, and being outdoors as much as possible. While this weekend won’t be quite as nice as last weekend, we can still think of a few fun ways to celebrate the new season!
It’s maple syrup tapping time! To celebrate, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is throwing a pancake brunch on Saturday. Come for the breakfast and stay for a tapping demonstration. Yum!
Can’t wait for your flowers to bloom? The Macy’s annual Flower Show: “Art in Bloom” begins on Sunday! The show is free, with several events going on through April 5th.
Or visit the Squire House Gardens in Afton for their Spring Art Sale, “Enlighten”, through Sunday.
This weekend, the Minnesota Orchestra is performing Roger’s and Hammerstein’s Broadway musical, Carousel, complete with live actors, costumes, and dancing. What a great way to welcome Spring!
It’s almost wedding season! If you are in the midst of planning, be sure to check out The Wedding Fair, Sunday at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Feeling the need for speed? The Northstar Roller Girls have their final championship bout of the season, Mortal KomBOUT! Saturday night at the Warner Coliseum in Falcon Heights.
Not quite ready for winter to be over? The outdoor ice rinks may be closed, but the Xcel Center still has your back! This weekend, watch the 2015 WCHA Final Five tourney, a Minnesota Wild Game, or see the “Stars on Ice”.
We are prepping for home improvements, gardens and spring cleaning! You too? Find some inspiration on Saturday at the North Suburban Home Improvement show in Andover, or the Home Improvement & Design Expo in Maple Grove.
Next week, the Minneapolis Convention Center is hosting the Northwest Sportshow. It’s a great time to gear up for summer!
