Hale is located in the Nokomis area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, 5 miles south of downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood is bordered by Minnehaha Creek on the north, Cedar Avenue to the east, 55th Street E to the south, and Chicago Avenue on the west. The Hale neighborhood is located in the west side of Lake Nokomis, providing year-round outdoor activities within walking distance to residents. Pearl Park offers a variety of playing fields, sport courts and sport programs for youth and adults along with a recreation center, and Diamond Lake is a wetland area, great for observing wildlife whether by canoeing on the lake or snowshoeing in the winter. In the summer months, residents can enjoy the Nokomis Farmer’s market, located on Chicago Avenue. Additionally, Hale is in close distance to a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, theaters, museums, golf courses, the Mall of America, the Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport, and is a short drive from Downtown Minneapolis.
