The Cleveland Neighborhood is located in the Camden district in the northern part of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is located northwest of the downtown area of Minneapolis. Cleveland is bordered by Dowling Avenue N on the north, Penn Avenue N on the east, Lowry Avenue on the South, and Xerxes Avenue N on the west. The Cleveland neighborhood is within walking distance to parks, walking and biking trails, shops and restaurants.

Along with Lucy Craft Laney, the other main schools that serve the area are Nellie Stone Johnson Community School (K-8), and Mona Moede-North Star, which is a High Five early childhood school. Cleveland is also served by several public schools within the Camden and Northeast districts, including public charter, magnet, and community schools and also private schools, giving residents various educational options. The main public high school serving Cleveland is Patrick Henry High School. The Camden Music School has a location in Cleveland and offers a variety of music classes for students, from newborns to high school seniors.
Cleveland can be accessed by I-94, which provides a quick commute to other areas in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Residents of Cleveland may also choose to work downtown Minneapolis, and can drive, bike or take public transportation. Some of the main streets include Lowry Avenue which runs to Northeast Minneapolis on the east, and Victory Memorial Parkway which changes to Theodore Wirth Parkway on the south and runs through Theodore Wirth Park. The Victory Memorial Parkway also has dedicated bike trails. There is one Nice Ride bicycle station open seasonally on Lowry and Penn avenue, and public transport bus routes through the neighborhood.
